My favorite genre of music? This is perhaps the hardest question for me as I love many different types of music. I grew up in a rural town. As a teenager, I loved country music and heavy metal. Quite the combination. One minute listening to Guns N’ Roses and the next listening to Keith Whitley. Thirty years later, I still love Guns N’ Roses and Keith Whitley, along with Alison Krauss; however, my tastes have broadened. I appreciate all types of music and hope to instill that in my son as well. A typical day of music for me is listening to Eminem, Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, Guns N’ Roses, Donovan Frankenreiter, James Bay, Tupac, Snoop, etc. I don’t listen to country often as it doesn’t appeal to me much any longer, yet I can appreciate all music.
